Fast Speedlings

The Fast Speedlings is a very safe opening, allowing you to choose any future tech based on what you see your enemy is doing. The early speedlings can be used for denying the opponent an expansion, doing some harassment or pushing back early pressure. It is very useful for getting map control early.

When you get to 14 supply, put down your extractor as fast as possible. Then build another drone and wait for 200 minerals for the pool. When the extractor is complete, put 3 drones to work there. This will give you about exactly 100 gas when you pool finishes, allowing you to start the speed-upgrade. You also have the money to build a Queen, but make sure you stay at 16/18 supply until you start your Queen. Pull most drones off gas when you have 100 gas.

When you have finished this, you can transition to either a banelingbust, mutalisk/zergling or roach/hydra. The banelingbust or mutalisk/zergling is very effective against Terran, while roaches and hydras are good against Protoss. Against Zerg you want to either get Roaches quickly if you expect Banelings, or the Tier 2-units.
