The Colossus is a tech-intensive groundunit from Protoss. They are able to dish out a lot of damage to ground units, but are very vulnerable to flying units and require support to keep the opposing force away.

The Dark Templar is a permanently cloaked Protoss meleeunit, often used for harassment. It is very weak when the opposition has detection, so keep them away from cannons and turrets.

The High Templar is a Protoss spell caster without any ordinary attack. Both the Psionic Storm and Feedback are powerful abilites able to take down clustered up units and units with energy.

The Immortal is a heavy groundunit in the Protoss arsenal. They are equipped with a hardened shield, reducing all incoming attacks to a maximum of 10. They deal bonus damage to armored units, making them powerful against other heavy groundunits.

The Mothership of the Protoss is a massive flying ship, cloaking all nearby friendly units. It is equipped with a weapon, but the main abilities, in addition to the cloaking, is the Mass Recall and Vortex.

The Observer is a permanenty cloaked Protoss-scout and detector. It has no abilites, but is an important part of the Protoss force as the only mobile detector and a very useful scout.

The Phoenix is a fast flying unit from Protoss. The high speed means it’s good at scouting and roaming the map. It can only attack air, but has a gravity beam that lifts up non-massive groundunits, disabling their attack and allowing other Phoenixes to shoot them.

The Probe is the worker and builder of the Protoss. The Probe warps in buildings, allowing them to construct buildings without spending any time constructing them. They also have a regenerating shield, allowing them to harass other races workers early in the game, and running away while regenerating the shield.

The Sentry is a spell caster from Protoss. Force Fields prevent movement in an area, very useful for blocking the path of enemy units or splitting a force. The Guardian Shield is used to decrease the incoming damage to friendly units from ranged attacks by 2 within the shield.

The Stalker is a popular Protoss groundunit, able to hit both ground and air. You can research the Blink-ability, allowing the Stalker to teleport to a nearby location you have sight to, including up cliffs and over units.

The Void Ray is a powerful flying unit from Protoss, with a Prismatic Beam with increases the damage of the attack over time. A charged up Void Ray more than doubles it’s damage output, and can quickly take out forces.

The Warp Prism is the Protoss flying transport. In addition to transporting units, they can also go into Phase Mode, giving the player the ability to construct buildings or, more commonly, warp in unis from Warp Gates.

The Zealot is the basic groundunit of the Protoss. It is the heavies of the three race’s basic units, with a powerful meleeattack and decent shields and health. The Zealot can also get Charge reseached, allowing the zealots to quickly close the distance to the enemy units.
